Yar, I'm Not Attractive

I would like you to take a moment and enjoy this animated short.

Pretty fun, huh? Now, I would like you to appreciate the fact that this video was shot entirely with a Nokia cell phone.

If that wasn’t cool enough, now I would like you, faithful readers, to appreciate the fact that this was not hand-drawn, CGI or clay animation. This was made with real people on a real beach in the real outdoors

Don’t believe me? How dare you! I’ll teach you to doubt The Former 786!

I hope you learned your lesson.

  1. i haven't read this yet because it's late and i need to get up early, but your obscure simpsons allusion title was enough to catch my attention and i wanted to commend you for that.

also, "clayanimation"? don't you mean "claymation"?
    yeah, i think you did.

i'll comment again once i actually have something of relevance* to share.

  2. Oh I love this! Thanks for sharing. Also, I love your 'clayanimation' link along with the other links. You make me wish I had the patience to be a linker.

  3. Jeff, I'm VERY happy that you got that reference. That's one of my favorite Simpsons lines and I was hoping someone would know where it was from and why it was relevant. Well done!

Also, while I agree that "clayanimation" should have a space in it (which I've now added), technically I can't use the term "claymation" because it's a registered trademark in the United States - registered by Will Vinton in 1978 to describe his clay-animated films.

    I don't want a lawsuit on my hands. :)

And I'm glad you liked the links, Crystal. They do take a lot of time, it's true, but I enjoy doing them almost as much as the post itself.
