Faithful readers, when do you start thinking about what you're going to be for Halloween? September? Mid-October? October 31st just before a party? That's fine for you, but as for me and my house, we usually start thinking about Halloween costumes just after the 4th of July. We were originally going to have a family-themed costume where all of us would be characters from Plants vs. Zombies, but my son vetoed that recently (he's three and gets frightened easily) so now we're each scrambling to find a new replacement costume.
I'm going to go as Observer (Brain Guy) from Mystery Science Theater 3000. So, apparently, I'm continuing my trend for the past few years of going as a random television character. My wife still hasn't decided on a costume yet, but I'm sure whatever she picks, she'll look wonderful. My daughter is going as a "cute witch," my other daughter is going as an owl and my son. . .well, he's either going as Spider-Man, Batman, Captain America or "little brain guy." It changes daily.
Anyway, for those of you who are still struggling to find a costume, what if I told you that you could have a unique costume that is sure to turn heads and all you need is a T-shirt, a smartphone and some duct tape?
Check it out:
See? It's simple! Well, I guess it took a NASA engineer to come up with the idea, but he's already done all the hard work! All you have to do is order the shirt from Digitaldudz, download the app and put it together. Or you could even create your own shirt design, if you have those kind of talents, and incorporate one of the apps into that.
It's not too late -- an eye-catching, cutting-edge Halloween costume is only 1 to 5 business days away!
My thanks to, alert reader, Lecia for sending this one in!

Come and Play - Everything's A-OK?
Elmo isn't the only creepy Muppet in town anymore.
Halloween may be over for some, but for you, faithful readers, the horror is just beginning. The gang over at Best Week Ever have compiled a list of photographs of people who tried to look like Sesame Street characters, but failed miserably.
Look, just because Oscar lives in the garbage doesn't mean he has to look like a pile of garbage. My kid would FREAK OUT if she saw this thing coming at her.
The scariest thing about this one is the lack of effort. Seriously? A piece of construction paper, some tape and a striped shirt and you think you're good?
It's not the mask that is scary, it's the eyes; those horrible, piercing eyes glaring directly into your soul.
It took me a while to guess what this weirdo was going for. Can you figure it out?
This costume confuses me, therefore, it scares me. At first glance, he looks like Grover, but then, you see the box of cookies. Dude, Cookie Monster is FAT!
Creative? Or offensive? YOU CHOOSE!
Imagine this: you're alone in your home and you pull back your shower curtain to find this face staring back at you. Instant heart attack.
These two should DEFINITELY be drug-tested. Look at that glazed-over look in their eyes!
I don't like the way Bert is looking at us. . .
Yes, you look like Elmo. . .after a lobotomy.
"Come play with us, Danny. Forever and ever and ever."
There's no denying it, this Bert wants to KILL you.
Dude, this isn't an Elmo costume. This costume looks like you killed a few Elmos, skinned them and decided to wear them. This picture gave my daughter nightmares. Why did I show this picture to my daughter? You tell me.
This is only thirteen out of fifty pictures on the site. You can see the rest of the pictures at bestweekever.tv.
Until next week, faithful readers!

WARNING: SOME OF THESE COSTUMES ARE TERRIFYING AND/OR CONFUSING!

Hop-Hop-HoAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Due to the enormous success of the creepy Santa posts, I thought I'd do something along those lines for the season.
So, without further ado, here are some creepy Easter Bunnies:
"You can run, Emily, but you can't hide!"
They're playing a game - it's called "who can have the widest eyes?"
Easter Bunny photo bomber, sucka!
The deep, soulless eyes of the bunny pierced Billy's soul.
If the devil was a rabbit, this is what he would look like.
"I friggin' HATE dis time of year!"
"Bwahahahahahahaha! Seriously?" Andrea laughed, "You think THIS is what a bunny looks like?"
"We come in peace, little one. Is this your leader?"
This is what happens when you try and make the eye holes bigger. . . by yourself. . . without a mirror.
"Back off, Lady! This kid is one of us now."
"Mom, I don't think it's supposed to be an Easter White Chipmunk-Bear Hybrid."
Floppy was a very stealthy Easter Bunny, even with his abnormally large elephantitis feet.
The skates are a good idea, Crystal. They'll help you outrun Roadkill Rabbit, if needed.
Peter Cottontail went a little too heavy on the mascara this year.
This is the reason why you shouldn't put your Easter Bunny mask in the microwave.
Half mask = Completely creepy!
Kenneth stared at the bunny, the bunny stared at him - daring each other to make the first move.
"HIS EYES ARE TOO REALISTIC! BUNNIES SHOULDN'T HAVE HUMAN EYES!"
"Ok, Andrew and Karly, say 'METALLICA FOREVER! ROCK ON! WOOOOOOOOO!' "
"Kill your family, Lee. Kill them all. You know you want to."
Fuzzy wasn't like the other animals, his abnormally placed eyes put him outside the pet store with the rest of the outcasts.
Hobart: A special bunny, for special children.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWRRRRRR!"
There's something wrong about actually being able to see the dude's eyes IN the costume.
The white make-up doesn't help this costume look any better.
I smell a lawsuit coming on!
"No, Mom. I've seen a bunny before and THIS is NOT a bunny!"
If Chewbacca married a rabbit and had children, and then the children were exposed to nuclear waste.
Anyone else getting a Donnie Darko vibe from this photo?
"Yesssssssssss, Jessica. The candy is completely safe and not poisonous."
"HA! HA! HA! We made the little human female cry!!"
